Statue for a teacher from his students

Gaios and Mauros (erected this statue of) their teacher also on behalf of their fellow disciples,[1] having requested it (5) from the Areopagos Council, while the temple attendant (zakoreuontos) was Statius the fire-bearer (purphorou) from the Acropolis, of Cholleidai.[2]
