[1] This ‘topos-inscription’ is roughly carved on a stylobate block of the south stoa of the Roman Agora, in the eleventh intercolumnal space from the east end. It served to assign the location to Dios, perhaps a merchant. On ‘topos-inscriptions,’ see SEG 62.144 with notes and on the Roman Agora in general, see IG II³ 4, 12 with notes. It is located immediately above SEG 62.146. The fact that two ‘topos-inscriptions’ appear in the same spot may have been a mistake (D.S. Sourlas and N. Papazarkadas in V. Chankowski and P. Karvonis, Tout Vendre, tout acheter, 2012, 134-135) or indicate a change of ownership (cf. C. Saliou, ZPE 202, 2017, 145 n. 175).
