[1] This is a square-shaped altar, made of Pentelic marble and decorated with cymatia. On the front face a relief – a flower framed by two ivy branches – is placed below the name of the recipient of the dedication. Other sides are ornamented with bull's heads (‘bucrania’) and ivy garlands. The lack of information about the findspot means that it is unclear which of the many sanctuaries of Dionysos in Attica it should be associated with.
