[1] This fragment comes from the cymatium of a dedication. The findspot suggests that it was probably dedicated in the Asklepieion on the south slope of the Acropolis (on which, see IG II³ 4, 665). The object has long been lost and is known only from the initial archaeological report by Demetrios Philios in 1876 (see Αρχείον των μνημείων των Αθηνών και της Αττικής I 56, n. 251).
