Dedication to Asklepios and Hygieia by a father

IG II³ 4 800 Date: ca. 25 BC – 5 BC

Aphrodisios son of – of Leukonoe, on behalf of [his son] Eutychides, dedicated to Asklepios [and Hygieia], as a thank-offering (charistērion) in the priesthood of Theophilos son of Eudoxos (5) of Eleusis, this statuette (agalmation).^[1]

[1] This statue base was dedicated in the Asklepieion on the south slope of the Acropolis (on which, see IG II³ 4, 665). The dedicator is not otherwise attested. The priest appears also in IG II³ 4, 801. The fact that he is not said to be priest for life suggests a date before ca. 5 BC (cf. IG II³ 4, 556A with notes). There is a cutting on top for inserting the statuette, which presumably depicted Asklepios or Hygieia.
