[1] This inscription is on the broad upper portion of a rectangular pillar monument dedicated to Asklepios, which, the findspot indicates, would have originally stood in the Asklepieion on the south slope of the Athenian Acropolis (on the Asklepieion and its inscriptions, see IG II³ 4, 665 with notes). The dedicator is not otherwise known. There is a rectangular cutting on the top for a votive.
