[1] This is the lower part of a pillar dedicated to Asklepios. The date is derived from the priesthood of Lysitheos, who is also known from IG II³ 4, 686 and Aleshire, Asklepieion 1, l. 19. For the date of his priesthood, see S. Aleshire, Asklepios, 152. This is the earliest sure evidence that the Asklepieion had become a public sanctuary.
