In the archonship of Theophrastos (340/39). The People decided. KekropisVII was in prytany. On the eighth of the prytany. Of the presiding committee (proedrōn) S- . . . put to the vote. The secretary was Aspetos son of Demostratos of Kytherros. (5) Kallikrates son of Charopides of Lamptrai proposed: concerning what the Tenedians say, to praise the People of Tenedos for their excellence and good will towards the Athenian People and the allies, both in times past . . . (10) . . . have helped . . . . . . money . . . . . . from (?) . . . . . . and so that the Tenedians may recover the money [that they have asked for?] . . . (15) . . . in the archonship of Theophrastos (340/39) . . . . . . the People for assistance . . . . . . everything, the People shall decide . . . . . . after the archonship of Theophrastos (340/39) . . . the allied levy (suntaxin) voted . . . (20) . . . and for the [regular administration (enkuklion dioikēsin)] . . . . . . in the year after the archonship of Theophrastos (340/39) they shall have [all?] this conveyed to Tenedos . . . until . . . have recovered . . . . . . and during this time it shall not be permitted for (25) any general or anyone else to exact either money or anything else, nor shall it be permitted for the [allies or allied representatives (sunedrois)] to make a levy assessment (katataxai) during this time, until the Tenedians have recovered the money they [have asked for?], so that also in the future both the allies (30) and anyone else who is well disposed towards the Athenian People may know that the Athenian People takes just care of those allies who act in the interests of the Athenian People and the allies; and to praise the People of Tenedos (35) and crown it with a gold crown of a thousand drachmas for its excellence and good will towards the Athenian People and the allies; and to praise [the representative (sunedron) of Tenedos], Aratos, and crown him with a foliage crown; (40) and to praise . . . representatives (sunedrous) . . . . . . . . .
