[... continues to be of good will to] the Athenian People, [and now on the occasion of the public subscriptions (epidoseōn)] has contributed to the People for the protection [of the city] 1000 drachmas in silver; and [he declares] that in the future he will be useful [to the People] (5) as far as he is able, for good fortune, the Council
shall decide: that the presiding committee (proedrous) allotted to preside
in the People, when the days set by law have
passed, shall put the matter on the agenda at the next
Assembly and submit the opinion of the
(10) Council to the People, that it seems good to the Council to praise
