Statue of Claudia Athenais erected by her father’s student

The Areopagos Council having decreed it, (this statue of) Marcia (5) Athenais, daughter of Claudius Herodes, (was erected by) Flavius Macer for his friend and teacher’s daughter, the temple attendant (zakoreuontos) being Eudemos (10) son of Hermeias of Gargettos, the deputy temple attendant (hupozakoreuontos) being Euangellos son of Demetrios of Gargettos.[2]
