[1] This herm honours Iason Logismos of Hagnous who held a range of priesthoods. The head of the herm is missing and the lack of findspot makes it uncertain where it stood, but the emphasis placed on his service as temple attendant (zakoros) of the sanctuary of Asklepios on the south slope of the Acropolis, makes it likely that the herm was located there (on the temple attendant, see IG II³ 4, 794; on the sanctuary in general, see IG II³ 4, 665 with notes).

The other priestly titles are otherwise unattested. Hermes Pyletes and Charidotes (‘of gates and joy-giver’) might be an alternative name for Hermes Propylaios, who was worshipped at the entrance to the Athenian Acropolis (Paus. 1.22.8). Hemeros Ge (‘Cultivated Earth’) might be an alternative form of Ge Kourotrophos, worshipped at the western end of the Acropolis (Paus. 1.22.3). Pothos (‘yearning’) was a personification of desire, especially but not exclusively sexual; this seems to be the only attestation of him being worshipped. The All-holy (panages) was a minor priest and herald of the Eleusinian cult (I Eleusis 489 with note; K. Clinton, Sacred Officials, 1974, 95-97). Three of Iason's sons appear in IG II² 2029, ll. 10-15, an ephebic list of ca. 120 AD, which provides a rough date for this inscription.
