Honours for the prytany of Kekropis

In the archonship of Sonikos (175/4), in the second prytany, of Kekropis, for which -s son of Bioteles of Perithoidai was secretary. On the eighteenth of Metageitnion, the eighteenth of the prytany. Assembly in the Piraeus. Of the presiding committee Antichares son of Epizelos of Angele was putting to the vote and his fellow presiding committee members. The People (5) decided. Onesandros son of Onetor of Kydathenai proposed: concerning what the prytany of Kekropis reports about the sacrifices which it made before the Assemblies to Apollo Prostaterios and to Artemis Boulaia and to Phosphoros and to the other gods for whom it is customary, for good fortune, the People shall decide to welcome the good results that have occurred in the sacrifices which it made for (10) the health and preservation of the Council and the People and the allies; and since the prytany has made all the sacrifices which are proper in the prytany well and with love of honour (philotimōs) and also has taken care of the convening of the Council and the People and of everything else which the laws and the decrees of the People prescribe for it, to praise the prytany (15) of Kekropis and to crown it with a [gold] crown according to the law, for its piety towards the gods and its love of honour (philotimias) towards the Council and the People of the Athenians; and the prytany secretary shall inscribe this decree on a stone stele and stand it [in the prytanikon]; and for the inscribing and the setting up of the stele (20) the [administrator] shall defray the accrued cost. . . .
