Decree of a thiasos of Bendis on Salamis (harbour) (244/3 BC)

         Gods.
        In the archonship of Lysiades (244/3)[1] on the second of Skirophorion,
        at the principal assembly. Batrachos proposed:[2] since the managers (epimelētai) and the secretary
        have managed the sacrifices to the gods, according to what is traditional, and all
        (5) the other matters which the laws require of them, for good fortune the thiasotai
        shall decide to praise them and crown each of them
        with a foliage crown for their excellence (aretēs) and justice (dikaiosunēs); 
        and the treasurer shall assign for the crown 15 drachmas,[3] and on 
        receiving the money [they shall dedicate in the sanctuary of Bendis].
