[1] This is a Hymettian marble base found in the Agora near the City Eleusinion, where it was originally dedicated (see AIUK 4.1 (BM: Cult Provisions) no. 1 and Agora XXXI). Philochares is presumably the dedicator, but the name is too common to identify him with other known individuals of the same name. Only the upper left corner remains. There are remains of a cutting for the insertion of a votive or statue on top.
