[1] The dedication commemorated honours bestowed by the Council and People, most likely for fulfilment of some office. Amphiktyon served as arbitrator in 330/29 BC (IG II³ 4, 33, ll. 39-40), from which one may infer that he was born in 389/8 BC. There is trace of a cutting in the top for a votive.
