(The tribes) Hippothontis (and) Kekropis,^[1] Aristion son of Phaullos of Acherdous, serving as sponsor (chorēgōn),^[2] was victorious, Eucharistos (359/8) was archon. Hegemon of Phleious was director (edidaske), (5)Alkathous of Sikyon was pipe-player.

[1] This marble rounded base is a choregic dedication commemorating a victory in dithyrambic competitions at the Thargelia (cf. IG II³ 4, 475 with notes). This is the last inscription on which tribes appear as competition winners (cf. IG II³ 4, 473, 477). This is the first attested victory of this tribal team (cf. IG II³ 4, 487 for the second one, IG II³ 4, 493 for the third one). [2] Aristion son of Phaullos of Acherdous (Davies, APF 1735) served as principal trierarch probably in the middle of the 330s (cf. IG II² 1624, ll. 71-72). This dedication probably commemorated a victory in the boys' competition at the Thargelia (cf. P. Wilson in The Greek Theatre and Festivals, 2007, 157).
