In the archonship of Symmachos (188/7), in the tenth prytany, of - , for which Archikles son of Theodoros of ThorikosVI was secretary. On the penultimate day (deuterai met' eikadas) of Mounichion, the (5) twenty-ninth of the prytany. Assembly for the election of magistrates (archairesiai) in accordance with the oracle of the god. Of the presiding committee - son of Hephaistion of Erchia was putting to the vote, and his fellow presiding committee members. The Council and the People decided. . . . (10) . . . proposed: since [Sos-] several lines missing . . . towards the People of the Athenians; and he shall be a proxenos and benefactor of the People, and it shall be permitted to Sos- also in the time hereafter, when he shows good will towards the (15) Athenians, to obtain whatever other benefit he may be deemed worthy of; and the prytany secretary shall inscribe this decree on a stone stele and stand it on the acropolis; and for the inscribing and setting up of the stele the treasurer of the military fund (20) and the board of administrators (tous epi tei dioikēsei) shall allocate the expense accrued. traces of a crown
