Statue base for Syeris, diakonos of Lysimache

Keesling, Syeris, 469 Date: mid-iv BC ?

Sye[ris ...] S-[1] assistant (diakonos) of Lysimache.[1] (5) This image (eikōn) of me in the sanctuary shows my form clearly. My deeds and [spirit (nous)] now live (?), clear to all. An awesome (semnē) fate (moira) (10) brought me to the most beautiful temple of holy Pallas, where I performed (elatreusa) this not unglorious labour (ponon) for the goddess. Uninscribed space Nikomachos made it.
