[1] This fragment derives from some kind of monument dedicated to Antoninus Pius (r. 138-161 AD, on whom see Oliver, Constitutions 134 with notes), perhaps located on the Acropolis. Dittenberger (IG III 526) and Kirchner (IG II²) tentatively identified the dedicator with one Cornelius Attikos Menestheus, who appears as an ephebe in IG II² 2029 (ca. 120 AD).
