In the archonship of – Lysippos son of Lysiphilos of Cholargos having been competition-director (agōnothetēsas) (dedicated to) Dionysos Paideios.^[1]

[1] On the introduction of the “competition-director” (agonothetes) in or shortly before 307/6 BC see IG II³ 4, 518, with notes. The small size of the base (which originally carried a tripod) and the unusual epithet of Dionysos (“Educator”) might imply that Lysippos was an ephebic agonothetes, or he might have been an adult agonothetes implicitly emphasising the educational value of the choral competition (specifically the one for boys?).
