Transliterations on Places on

[1] J. Triantaphyllopoulos and Y. Kalliontzis (forthcoming) demonstrate that this is a fourth-century choregic dedication commemorating a victory in the dithyrambic competition, perhaps at the City Dionysia (cf. IG II³ 4, 460 with notes). It was previously thought to be a funerary inscription. The sponsor (choregos), Teisippos, might be identified with the Teisippos son of S- who was one of the trierarchs on Chares’ expedition of 357/6 BC to the Hellespont (IG II³ 4, 245, l. 3; cf. Davies, APF 13493).
