Transliterations on Places on

[1] This small fragment, purchased by the British Museum from Reginald Mantell in 1853, might be part of an imperial letter to the Athenians; this suggestion is based above all on a possible reference to "Romans" in line 3. On inscribed Imperial letters, see I Eleusis 513 with notes. The lettering suggests a date in the 4th or 5th centuries AD.
