(38) . . . in the presence of . . . . . . curse to destruction . . . [as] (40) [follows?]. I shall not revolt from [the mass of the Athenians or the allies] of the Athenians, neither I myself [nor shall I be persuaded by anyone else, but] I shall be persuaded by the opinion of the Athenians; [and to inscribe these things and the?] oath on a stone stele [and set it down at Athens on the acropolis] and at Erythrai on the acropolis . . . (45) . . . these things.[1]
