[1] Clinton suggests that this text may be from a decree and dates it tentatively to the 2nd cent. BC. The apparently rather massive stone, which, from scattered letter traces, appears to have contained extensive text above the small amount which is legible, and to have been inscribed in long lines, has been reworked to make a chancel screen. It is unclear whether it originally formed a stele or some other type of monument, such as a plaque or wall block or other architectural component.
