Euxitheos of Kettos? dedicated this, to Hermes, as commander of the tribal cavalry contingent (phularchos) of Leontis.^[1]

[1] The presence of this and other inscriptions associated with Leontis at Dafni induced J. S. Traill, Demos and Trittys, 1986, 81 n. 7, to suggest that Kettos, a deme of Leontis, was located in this area. See however IG II³ 4, 207 with notes. The dedicator's name has also been read as Diodotos. There is a rectangular socket in the upper surface of this block for the insertion of a herm.
